The Unconventional Holiday Season is Underway
This holiday season has been quite different than most. The streets of many major cities are barren, with many consumers opting for online shopping this year. The football stadiums that are normally packed with cheering fans are now virtually empty, and many families have been forced to rely on video calls to connect with their loved ones. And unfortunately, the remainder of this unconventional holiday season may follow the same unusual path. The good news is there is a light at the end of this pandemic tunnel, and it won’t be long before our lives start returning to normal.
Although this pandemic may soon be behind us, businesses could feel its impact for many years to come. Working from home and conducting business online have become the new norms, and it is unlikely that those trends will reverse.
Remote is Now the Norm this Holiday Season
Although much has changed over the past eight months, one thing that has remained consistent is consumers’ love for the holidays. And while the days of waiting in long lines to battle for Black Friday deals were already waning prior to 2020, the pandemic has only amplified the trend. In fact, online sales for this holiday season are expected to climb 30%, and Cyber Monday already set a record for online sales.
For better or for worse, the pandemic has forced many of us to become more comfortable with more technologies. Online meetings and transactions have become a necessary part of many business models. Banking is no different, and our team at ADM is ready to safely provide you with access to extended deposit protection and nationally competitive rates on your business deposits, wherever you are conducting business..
